OUR STORY

Hello! We are CARES, a non-profit art organization located in Fremont, CA, dedicated to creating paintings for healthcare facilities and hosting art workshops for seniors at care centers. With the onset of the pandemic, many healthcare facilities were overwhelmed with work and there was an overall toll on mental health. In an attempt to help the health care community during the pandemic, Ananya came up with the idea of CARES, along with Advika and Alisha, to form the organization in 2021. Since then, our team has been working towards creating colorful art with the help of the community.

OUR MISSION

CARES hosts art workshops for care centers and donates paintings to local facilities. In this way, we aim to improve patient care experience and appreciate first-responders for their service through art. Art can help transform stark healthcare facilities into colorful environments and the therapeutic benefits of art are numerous as it can increase the mental well-being of healthcare workers and community members. Hundreds of patients, healthcare workers, and others pass by the walls of healthcare facilities each and every day so we strive to cheer them up through our paintings.

REVIEWS

"We LOVED having CARES at our UCSF Inflammatory Bowel Disease Art fundraiser!  CARES brought supplies for a painting class during our fundraiser and everyone loved the step by step process. It was super relaxing and the team was so nice and supportive in the process! I would highly recommend CARES for an amazing team and event!

Thank you guys so much!"
